Cambridgeshire Information Governance Strategy

This strategy sets out the approach to be taken within the PCT to provide a robust Information Governance framework for the future management of information.

Cambridgeshire Information Governance Policy

This policy describes how the IG Strategy will be delivered. It describes the importance of ensuring that information is effectively managed and that appropriate policies, procedures and management accountability and structures provide a robust governance framework for information management.

Cambridgeshire Information Sharing Protocol

This general protocol is the overarching agreement that covers the sharing of information between the agencies listed in section 1, pages 1-2 of the protocol. It contains the principles and procedures that will be adopted when agencies have to share information.

Records Management Policy

The purpose of this policy is to have in place a systematic and planned approach to the management of operational records. Ensuring that from the time a record is created, until its ultimate disposal, the control of both the quality and quantity is carried out in a manner that effectively serves the needs of the PCT and is in compliance with appropriate legislation. This applies to paper and electronic records.Data Protection, Access to Records, Personal Records and CCTV Policy

This policy provides an overview of the legislation and guidance for data protection in general and access to records procedures and associated legislation information. Failure to comply with any aspect of this policy could create a breach of statute for which the organisation could be held liable. Such an issue could lead to disciplinary action being taken under the Trust disciplinary procedure.

Code of Conduct for Confidentiality

The purpose of the Code is to set out required practice for those who work within or under contract to the Trust in maintaining confidentiality for all person identifiable or business sensitive information. Whilst directed at Trust staff it is also relevant to any one working in and around the Trust to include contractors, agency staff, students and volunteers.
